Workshops
Rationale of use
In Austria, the Austrian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management established 14 expert groups to discuss and develop the content of the future interventions of the Austrian CAP Strategic Plan. In that respect, technical discussions/workshops on specific topics were organised, which were important for incorporating various concerns and suggestions into the CSP drafting process.Functioning
A series of 8 expert discussions/workshops on technical aspects of the Austrian CAP SP have been held on the following topics: - 'Smart Villages: Innovation and Digitalisation as an opportunity for rural areas' - 'The future of local development, especially for CLLD/LEADER' - 'What contribution can the CAP make to the implementation of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) of Austria?' - 'Regional innovation capacity: strenthening rural areas as innovation spaces' - 'Nature conservation in the CAP 2020+' - 'What's next for the compensatory allowance?' - 'What's next for the agri-environmental programme ÖPUL? - 'Economic efficiency in Agriculture' At these events—often held online due to COVID-19—more than 100 participants attended each session, where they had the opportunity to ask questions for clarification and provide their input on the topic.Types of outputs
Each expert discussion/workshop gathered stakeholders' opinions on the topics, and their insights proved important in improving certain measures of the new Austrian CSP.Relevant CAP objective
