Working group for assessing environmental aspects of the CSP

Rationale of use

In Cyprus, the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment actively involved environmental organizations and academic institutions to ensure scientifically robust agri-environmental measures. Experts critically assessed intervention designs and reviewed the SWOT analysis within the framework of EU directives, national policies, and the Green Deal.

Functioning

Two broad meetings were held to engage environmental experts in discussions on key issues, leading to the formation of an informal working group to continue to work on these issues.

Types of outputs

The discussions yielded outputs in the form of detailed notes, which formed the basis for supporting interventions and setting targets in agri-environmental measures.
