Small-scale model ‘FARMIS’

Rationale of use

In Germany, the FARMIS model was employed to analyze the effects of CAP reforms, such as eco-schemes, and CAP post-2020 policies. It provides sector-consistent modelling of policy impacts, incorporating farm-specific characteristics, land ownership and prices, and income assessments.

Functioning

The tool is a comparative-static programming model for farm groups which relies on FADN (farm accountancy data network) data. FARMIS provides a detailed reproduction and projection of agricultural production activities at farm level.

Types of outputs

The tool provides quantitative indicators related to baseline/scenarios.
