Small-scale model ‘FARMDYN’

Rationale of use

The FARMDYN model is used for farm-scale analysis, simulating profit-maximizing decisions while considering farm resource constraints, available technology, and market conditions. The model generates outputs such as production quantities, input use, farm profitability, and environmental indicators (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions or nitrogen surpluses).

Functioning

The tool provides a flexible and modular template to simulate different farming systems (dairy, mother cows, beef fattening, pig fattening, piglet production, arable farming, biogas plants) at single farm scale.

Types of outputs

The tool provides quantitative indicators related to baseline/scenarios.
