Rationale of use

Scenario building allows for anticipating needs, challenges and impacts through the consideration of different perspectives and the development and analyses of future alternatives.

Functioning

The tool facilitates scenario development by engaging national and regional policymakers, with the potential to include other key actors. Scenarios are constructed by a diverse group of participants, each contributing unique knowledge and perspectives essential for understanding the policy system and intended objectives.

Types of outputs

The tool produces two or more descriptive scenarios, including a baseline scenario and alternative options. Each scenario outlines policy priorities, contextual variables, and suitable interventions under different strategic directions.
