The workshop focused on the future of the CAP in the 2028–2034 period, addressing governance and policy flexibility under a possible single NRPP fund, as well as the budgetary implications of recent MFF adjustments for CAP implementation, co-financing, and crisis management.
One of the key contributions was the intervention of Professor Alan Matthews, who presented his analysis of the regulatory and financial architecture of the MFF and the CAP.
On 3 June, during an ordinary meeting of the European Parliament’s AGRI Committee, several key points were highlighted that are shaping the current discussions ahead of the presentation of the next Multiannual Financial Framework and the roadmap for Europe’s vision for agriculture and food, which align with the objectives of Tools4CAP.
