On Thursday, 26 June 2025, from 09:30 to 11:30 AM (CEST), Tools4CAP held its fifth online Academy module: “Innovative quantitative tools for eco-schemes and green architecture” to analyse the impact of the CAP Strategic Plans
This session, linked to the methodological guidelines for innovative quantitative tools, presented potential modelling and forecasting tools. It addressed how these tools align with the objectives and policy instruments of the post-2020 CAP, covering both national and EU-level dimensions, and explored how they can complement existing tools already applied in the governance of CAP Strategic Plans.
The objectives of the module were to:
- Introduce existing tools for scenario modelling, enabling participants to understand how the impacts of interventions in CAP Strategic Plans can be analysed, with practical examples of their application.
- Provide clear and practical guidance on how to implement and use these tools through two case studies.
- Explore the advantages and benefits of these tools, discussing their capacity to improve decision-making in the context of the CAP.
- Identify and analyse the main limitations and barriers that may arise when applying these tools in practice.
- Showcase a practical example of how these types of tools are being implemented in Strategic Plans. The case studies from the Netherlands and France (Occitanie region) will illustrate how modelling tools support the design of CAP interventions, highlighting early findings and challenges.

The report is also available in BG, CZ, DE, ES, FR, GR, HU, IE, IT, LT, LV, NL, PL, RO, SI and SK.
