On Wednesday, 17 June 2026, from 10.00 to 12.00 CEST, Tools4CAP held its ninth online Academy module: “From practice to adoption: Applying Tools4CAP for the next CAP cycle.” The session explored how monitoring, modelling and planning tools can support Member States in preparing for the next CAP cycle, with a particular focus on how Tools4CAP results can be put into practice.
The module presented examples from Italy, Greece, Spain, Slovenia and the Netherlands, representing different levels of system organisation and different ways of combining tools. Italy and Greece reflected on policy monitoring tools that support the Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (PMEF), structure data flows and facilitate the operationalisation of CAP result indicators. Spain contributed a soil-focused monitoring case, using Earth Observation and machine learning approaches to estimate Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) and complement existing administrative and environmental datasets.
The session also explored two integrated case studies. The Netherlands presents an approach that combines modelling, monitoring, and planning tools, showing how several analytical layers can be used together to support policy tasks. Slovenia presented an integrated strategic planning case centred on vision-building, indicator work, and scenario analysis to support CAP planning and coordination.

The report is also available in BG, CZ, DE, ES, FR, GR, HU, IE, IT, LT, LV, NL, PL, RO, SK and SL.
