Case study: Poland
Prioritisation tool for needs assessment
Geographic level
National
Type
Showcase
Purpose
Presentation of a prioritisation method—cumulative voting—to relevant agricultural and rural stakeholders, along with a discussion on the feasibility of using it in future agri-rural policy design.
Challenges faced
Ensuring the right mix of stakeholders is present at the event to limit potential bias. Additionally, officials are afraid that the results could be unproperly used as the official position of the managing authority.
Main objective
To show the importance and relevance of prioritisation, and the application of different voting weights assigned to various stakeholder groups when voting. This will be done to avoid underrepresentation of key CAP Strategic Plan stakeholders, such as the non-farming rural population.
Key collaboration
Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
